The key to powerful research

Welcome to the RIC!

Are you conducting scientific research into Long Covid? Whether you are looking for Patient and Public Involvement (PPI) or to recruit to your study, we can help!

We make it easy to involve people with Long Covid in your research and help ensure your study is relevant, robust, addresses patient priorities and keeps the patient voice at the centre. And with our extensive network, we can also assist with promotion of your study for recruitment purposes.

We have different options available, depending on what is required and what would help your study the most.

Our team of Research Advisers are all people with Long Covid who are trained in PPI. They not only have practical experience of providing patient involvement to many studies, but have been participants themselves in research and are knowledgeable about the global Long Covid research landscape. Their skills include:

  • protocol and proposal design and development
  • steering and governance of ongoing studies
  • designing patient-facing material
  • helping with recruitment to studies
  • analysing and interpreting results
  • co-authoring papers
  • public engagement and dissemination of findings

Your study may benefit from speaking with us at one of our upcoming RIC sessions. Our current scheduled dates are as follows (each slot lasts for up to 1 hour, all times are UK Time):

  • Monday 19th January 2026 - 11:00am  Booked
  • Thursday 5th February 2026 - 1:00pm  Booked
  • Friday 13th February 2026 - 10:30am
  • Tuesday 3rd March 2026 - 1:00pm
  • Wednesday 18th March 2026 - 11:00am
  • Friday 27th March 2026 - 11:00am
  • Tuesday 14th April 2026 - 2:00pm

If you would like to speak with us but none of our scheduled sessions fit with your availability, do get in touch.

Alternatively, if you are looking for research participants, your study may be suitable for promotion via our network or on our Take Part in Research page on our website. We therefore also offer a 'paper review' option for us to assess your study to ensure it meets our required standards for promotion.
