Our impact

We improve the lives of people affected by Long Covid by bringing people together, building evidence, and driving change in policy.

Support

Through our peer support community and resources, we have helped thousands of people affected by Long Covid feel heard and supported, navigate services, and build confidence to advocate for the care they need.

Research

We partner with major research programmes to strengthen understanding of Long Covid. We champion high-quality co-production and patient and public involvement (PPI), enabling meaningful engagement for people affected. Through our Research Involvement Consultancy, we support research teams to do this work well.

Influence

We work to ensure the voices of people affected by Long Covid are heard where decisions are made. This includes our role as secretariat for the All-Party Parliamentary Group on Long Covid and our participation in the UK Covid-19 Inquiry.

Annual reports

Our annual reports for the Charity Commission for England and Wales set out our progress and impact each year. Below, you can explore some of our key achievements since we became a registered charity in 2022.

  • "Long Covid UK were critical to the success of our international project with the WHO developing a Core Outcome Measurement Set, funded by the NIHR. From the position of someone leading a project urgently needed by both the research community and patients, I can't imagine a better example of dedicated and thoughtful patient involvement."

  • "What Long Covid UK have done is incredible. Early in the pandemic the group become a voice for those unable to access treatment. Partly as a result of their tireless work, there is now a much greater understanding of Long Covid. By being patient-led it has become the go-to organisation for insights and expertise."

    —Kait Borsay, Presenter, Times Radio

  • "The World Health Organization is honored to support the Long Covid (UK) Support Group and are committed to working side by side with you."

Rachael [Evans] and I personally value the important difference you make to the PHOSP-COVID study work and more widely to Long Covid research, advocacy and policy. To do all this on top of having a long-term health condition is humbling. Thank you for all that you do."
